Thanks for checking out my weblog. My name’s James, and I live and work about ten miles from Durham City in North East England. Having tried MySpace, Blogger and others I settled on WordPress last summer and set-up something here.
Professionally I’m a web developer working with XHTML and CSS and some PHP and MySQL, although I’ve still got the Rails book on my desk to get started on. I’m really into web standards, accessibility and simple but effective websites.After work I can be found reading Media Guardian, looking at the latest designs on various CSS galleries and working at a local community radio station.
The design and theme for this blog is something I knocked up in a warm Sunday afternoon. I think it’s fairly indicative of the sort of design I like to work with - but it’s still a bit plain. I’d love to hear from you - hook up with me on Facebook or wing an email to hello [at] webkanix.com.
